Dangl on Evo

Good piece by researcher Benjamin Dangl on Evo Morales’ indigenous inauguration ceremony, which took place about a week ago or so. The brief article published in his Upside Down World, which is a really good site on contemporary Latin American Politics and social movements, which I try to check often.

Dangl also comments on the complex nature of this political era in Bolivia and the Andes, where the discourses and practices of indigeneity, popular sovereignty, post-Marxist analyses, the expansion of extractive industries, and decolonisation, all come together as the Movimiento al Socialismo, Morales and Álvaro García Linera’s party.

Dangl’s piece, though here.
